Flight

we pause
			in flight
			as if suspended clouds
			arms outstretched
			to the sky
			as if imaginary
			silver wings

			reaching far into
			the unborn sunrises
			of our lives
			we are two
			you and i
			in total unison
			side by side

			the luxury
			of trust
			without fear
			the splendour
			of gentle love
			our only wardrobe
			the naked truth

			soaring in flight
			parachutes not required
			dreams shared as one
              	        seatbelts discarded
			for the safety
			each others heartbeat
	                ...up up and away
