Flesh and Bone

Flesh and Bone Which way did you go When you crossed that line Lost control you said And the fault was mine I made you lay your hands Once gentle and sweet Now harshly unforgiving With a searing heat Move away from the strike zone And into sleep Let flesh and bone stand As the soul retreats Where did you go and Who took your place Strangers eyes burn from Holes in a familiar face You can cut me deeper Than ever before But you won't touch me there As backing away, this heart shuts the door.
