Fleeting Fame

Guy Patterson worked in his family's appliance store. However, he was destined to achieve much more. This drummer led a garage band from Erie, Pennsylvania to become famous all over America. With some help from Playtone label's Mr. White, the Wonders ascended to an unbelievable height. After a spot on a national network television show, the four man group saw their popularity grow. Band member Jimmy had differences with his girl, Fay. Totally annoyed, Jimmy quit and walked away. Despite this tragic and unexpected thing, this story still managed to have a happy ending. Based on the 1996 film "That Thing You Do".
