Fleeting

where does time go
transient
a fleeting gust of air

non retrievable
a whirlwind in a mirror
fragmented shattered

unforgettable memories
unforgivable regrets
a circular menagerie

slow motion
rewind
replay

a vortex of emotions

As the old saying goes; "like the sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives" Great poem well written and I enjoyed it a LOT!

Nicely done, Line, but I wish you would develop it more-- it's like a tease, an opening to--what?--and by saying this, I mean it as a great compliment.

Thanks, it certainly is a compliment when you don't want a poem to end - most appreciated. Part of me loves the way short poems really invite the reader to fill in the blanks and share in the creative process. The other part of me loves to ramble on about what's in my heart ad nauseum. LOL

Some of the world's greatest minds have ascribed to the belief that all time is happening simultaneously. Your poem reminded me of that, Line. Very nicely penned. Congratulations on your win in Brian's contest, Carolyn

Well, another "Fav"; this speaks the way I feel about time, too.
