Fleeing

How could she do this to me? I try to hide as she pulls me back Frightened to the ground. Her heart of stone encased by steel Will never know my pain. She claims she tries to understand Why I quickly pull away. She doesn't seem to notice She pushes me to the wall. She pushes me past the edge I cannot fall into safe arms, I can't trust anyone or anything at all. I claw to the surface of an endless black abyss. The closer I get to the surface, The further down I sink. When will this ever cease I wonder? Never, never, ever again.
