Lin, this is very interesting indeed. Your poem leads me to think about intrusive thoughts that just come up and that we seem to have little control over. These messages are telling us something...that we are hurt and need to heal in some way. That is so difficult and there is no magic formula for it. This is fascinating to think about. Having those flaring lights proves to me Lin that you have lived, loved and have lost, would life have been better without? We only ever have a lend of a heart, a love, a life, and one day too even the pain will subside for all of us. Beautifully written and apologises for waffling. Good luck in the contest. Danny

memories of love…like seen through my father’s eyes. While visiting Dad yesterday, my hubby came with me and helped in so many ways. I told my dad that my David was my hero. He got teary eyed, thinking of my mom. Hugs <3

Kim, cherish those moments when your dad can openly show his emotions about your mom. It's special. It also let him know that your David is a hero to you, as I'm sure he was when you were a child. Thank you for sharing those personal thoughts with me. Hugs for you.
