Flash Flood...
Monsoon season hit last night,
It flooded everything in sight;
It ripped down fences and uprooted trees,
Rolling two ton boulders with sickening ease;
Carrying it all on a crest of death,
We can feel the roar and hold our breath;
The ground is rumbling beneath our feet,
We bow our heads and admit defeat;
The noise deafening, we cover our ears,
It’s bringing about our terror and fears;
We stop and watch the destruction flow by,
And send a silent prayer up to the sky.
