-flash-

tiny lanterns-
burning bright
in darkest watches
of the night
like elvish sprites-
come beckoning
although never-
truly reckoning
of children filled-
with summer rapture
intent upon-
a quest to capture
venting to-
the purpling skies
their excited-
and delighted cries
of fireflies!!,fireflies!!!
