"flag Still Flying"

Wow its almost nine years since they knocked our buildings down..
Seems like forever since Columbus questioned if the world was round..
Our freedom was tested right here on our own soil..
Americans were shocked and angry as all tempers boiled..
Never before such a attack so close to home..
New York spent days searching through bodies and bones..
Our leaders left there guard down way to long..
Our enemies planned our fate as we sang the Monica and Clinton song..
In steps Bush as our blue sky turns grey, another promise for a better day..
Another President now swears to heal our Country's wounds..
As years pass, sadly its a all to familiar tune..
Not a perfect land by far, but still our flag flies high in the wave of the stars..
