Five-Thirty Am Cityscape

Lights dawning
Sleepyheads yawning
Babies crying
Mothers sighing

Coffee pouring
Busses roaring
Winds shifting
Debris drifting

Laborers hurrying
Rats scurrying
Teen-agers snoring
Alarm clocks ignoring

Stoplights blinking
Drivers unthinking
Airplanes arriving
Passengers surviving

Tender hearts
Works of art
Lovers part
A new day starts

I love it. Partial to 'city' poems am I, having had such an intimate relationship with my own as a bike courier for so long. A lovely day to you my friend! xomo
