Five Months To Heaven

FIVE MONTHS TO HEAVEN Happiness separated five months long — He hears her voice, while he sleeps in his chair. The lonely parakeet mourning with song. No footsteps creak upon floor — bedroom bare. He hears her voice, while he sleeps in his chair, Clinging forlorn to loving memories. No footsteps creak upon floor — bedroom bare. The wistful wind rustles forth a cold breeze. Clinging forlorn to loving memories. Grandma would open the bars of bird’s cage. The wistful wind rustles forth a cold breeze. Grandpa’s dreaming of his heavenly page. Grandma would open the bars of bird’s cage — The lonely parakeet mourning with song. Grandpa’s dreaming of his heavenly page. Happiness separated five months long. Kim Rodrigues © 4/24/2018
