"Fits the Need" All people want is a stable house a place to call their "safe" home to "LIVE" outside of all cages - free live life how "we" were meant to feel to have no hell continually raising chaos in this very very small life we lead yet we crumble like the fall of Rome monotonously, perpetually All people want is a future free of social denigration and disability and love... what of love? for you and me? we all need love even those underground by those above, never seen treated like hounds with fleas ridiculous and unsound we all need love this is implanted in us more religious, than any creed to light our hearts and fill our smiles with unbiased generosity imagine that a life with no love, without a you and me isolation an endless aching untreated cavity humanity is reaching out for humanity but fear and greed hard hearted, reigns scaly and suffocating supreme if you were me and I were you what would we fully understand? and see? if I were you and you were me? we sometimes look and feel the need to assist and free the lesser "we" most of the time though, if truth be real, we'd save ourselves first before the unwanted unnecessary "we" we abruptly turn the other cheek well outside of what we thought we could and smudge it all out the life we promised to write and live to reciprocate on our cornucopia roundabout all those new better lessons learned in that contract impressed upon us in that previous time groundhog vainglorious where we all agreed to sing and spin the sunny group soul chat better them than me, "we" think I wonder how poetry fits the need with all its gilded love and beauty winning awards sadness in reality tomed tongue in cheek lacking any true credibility (LadyLabyrinth / 2022) "We Don't Know What Tomorrow Brings"/ Thom Yorke https://youtu.be/5d-AUUkkKj4 "It’s a terrible shame And the grass is always green Get it while you can Or get sad and then get mean I’m stuck in a rut, in a flatland drainage ditch And I’m drowning In irrelevance..." Bit left of centre (which I love), makes some valid points. Some will get it, others won't.

unfortunately, my forte is not sugar-coating flummeries and trance is for those more experienced. ;) With regards to the 'homeless' issue (which led me to write this poem), along with the related circumstances that go hand-in-hand with homelessness, I have a personal interest and I understand it entirely. Poetry whether it helps or not, is another matter, specifically it's significance at present...it is a saving grace for some, but some (and I am very certain of this) who write poetry, may feel they are, like Thom Yorke's lyrics, "in a flattened drainage ditch, drowning in irrelevance". This is part of the empath people try to ignore. Will poetry have an effect on humanity? Does it assist humanity in the overall bigger picture of what we are all facing in our current era and into the future? just a humble 'scribbling'...
