Fishercats

Sun’s up
Neighborhood cats
Have resumed their posts
In my yard full of holes
Arms folded, ever alert
Occasionally arching, creeping
And even springing
At giggling gopher ghosts
The felines revel
In having something to do
Getting it done
Would spoil the fun

Love the concept! Makes those cats sound like typical human office workers in a way! Great one, Sharon! Thanks, Gershon

Thanks Gershon - I regularly scrape maybe a square inch of ancient paint from my weatherboard, so I can relate to the cats, and the office workers!
