Fish Party

Each goldfish is like a birthday candle: fins flickering in under-water sparkles of sunlit sugar. Sprinkled, trickled, rippled. My face is staring over the pond; they gather for party bags we call stinky-fish-food, while cloud-balloons make funny faces and float far away.

Wow! What an imaginative write, Jeanette! You've turned cheap fish food into the finest caviar. Just sprinkle a little champagne into their tank, and those goldfish will be 'all set!' Nice, Gershon

They would eat their own eggs too! Thanks for your kind words. Fish ponds are good for staring at too. :)

i love that image of a goldfish 'like a birthday candle of flickering fins', also the subtle alliteration and playful language; i do enjoy your work, it's unique and quirky
