Fish In a Small Pond

Out in the
          wilderness
a small pond
        exists
It's shores are overgrown
      with vegetation
Bullfrogs sing their songs
     while fish move
  gracefully under the
    surface
Though we're only fish in this small
pond
      as we extend
our minds and souls
outward into the star - lit
sky
    We need not be frightened
As we rise to the surface
      we'll touch the
 glowing embers
        of fallen stars
The woods beyond are
         dark and deep
but let's remember joy is
         there for us to keep
 With the moon above
and earth below
Let's enjoy summer and
fall
   Before the land is covered
with snow
Though we're far from fields and farms
We can sing with a voice that charms
To the West lies our destiny
We'll continue our struggle to be free

boy this started out with a small fish in the pond and ended with going west to fulfill our destiny. DREAM BIG, Matt. You rock!
