First Thanksgiving

It's the first Thanksgiving after the loss of my son
My big question is, am I truly full of thanks?
How can I be, when my child is gone
And I'm learning to live without one in my ranks

I do feel thankful for all I have, my home, my family
And a job where I am helping others
But I have not come to the point of living happily
Because grief heals slowly for grieving mothers

Dear Kathleen, I will never know how devastating it can be to lose a child. You are a very strong woman. Hugs xx
