First Spring Mowing

outside cutting lawn 
neighbor's noisy mower hums 
smell of fresh-mown grass 

          dandelions bloom 
          fresh violets kiss the breeze 
          tulips standing tall 

                    robins building nests 
                    wispy rainclouds from the west 
                    dogwood blossoms fall
