First Shall Be Last

don't live today
what was learned
learned well once
can't be unlearned

stuck in a rut
thoughts bouncing
bound train tracks
one way ticket

purchased years ago
for this line only
now still validated
long lost reasons

don't confuse me
by words or action
hunker down hide
not a drop of truth

will i drink today
pound if you must
defenses multipy
since you're not aware

that i don't know
but a peak shows
i've seen your hand
you write the last line

LAST SHALL BE FIRST
