First Love First Sight

Falling in love at first sight
Like stripping down your emotions
Not wanting to break the eye contact
That moment you see in movies
Where every kiss is sweeter
When lips move in sync
An the taste making you drunk every time
That moment you fear the outcome will be bitter
Though it seems so much sweeter in dreams
The time where you feel safe
When you keep asking yourself “what is love?”
When it feels more then just right
It’s sort of silly how we all believe our love is like a fairytale
Not believing in love at first sight
Who’d ever of thought my lover would be my best friend
Falling in love at first sight
Remembering when we were just kids
Holding onto each other when we knew we had to part for the night
Realizing it was just love
Every moment we looked into each others eyes
Seeing our growth
The way we love
Every reason was love
Every moment was fear
Every night was now only in the past
The truth of love
Defined in too many ways
Though we define it every time we touch hands
Falling in love at first sight
Never felt so right
I still have no idea how it’s you
With these eyes holding back truth with pain
Hoping this love lingers behind making love pleasing to others
First sight I fell in love
More than words could explain it
But with reason I’ll just speak my love through words
