First, Last, Always
I wasn't looking for a lover
or even for a friend
this closeness that exists between
I never want it to end
I don't know how this happened
I just know I want it to last
for you to be part of my future
and not just part of my past
Sometimes I don't have the words
I don't even know where to start
all I am able to say that's certain
is that somehow you've captured my heart
I don't know where this leads
what may happen in a week or two
but just want you to remember
that for me there is only you
