First Heartbreak

I remember the moment,
When my heart shattered,
Into a million pieces.

The pain was unbearable,
I cried until my tears ran dry,
Feeling lost and alone,
Wondering how I would ever,
Move on from this heartbreak.

But slowly, as time went on,
That dagger to the heart,
Released itself from me.

And your face was no longer sharp in my mind,
And our time together blurred.
I’m at peace now.
Are you?
