First Drop of Rain

Every moment a subtle gift
To the spirituality that exists
Testimony to a plan
When you chose to follow Him

A special witness, as to experience the first drop of rain
The ripple effect which it sends
As it crosses with scent and senses
Upon the jasmine as molecule moisture catches

Suddenly, insincere seems the bustle of the day
To glimpse beyond this world, and you wonder
Was that truly a single drop of rain
Or a stray wayward heavenly tear

To be swiftly caught in the unexpected thought
Among a down pour of a million more
Each with realization to His precious purpose
The first drop, shall hold you there
But, the rest a hope of God never standing still
