First Date
She took a trip to a place called New Hope
To meet the man she knew was the one
And when they met she could hardly cope
For he acted like someone bereft of fun
He decided to calm down and act cool
And take her to Chili’s for mixed drinks
He knew being nervous made him act a fool
So he decided he’d take out all the kinks
She told him she loved his brown, deep-set eyes
And he followed by saying he adored her smile
She asked him if compliments can often be lies
“Oh no” he retorted, “that would be so vile”
She told him she’d love to meet with him again
He acknowledged he did, and asked where and when
