New beginnings smiled from across the room Big brown eyes melted mine as I thought ...this cannot be real!... Butterflies performed ballet in my stomach Her voice danced like wind chimes in my mind Sleeping violins came alive and filled my ears and my heart with song I’d been deaf for far too long We touched hands Hearts pumped faster faster faster Heaven and freedom became ours for the moment in this finger embrace Effortless conversation A meeting of minds, sometimes intense Mostly light hearted Sprinkled with sparkling happiness Lips pressed together in a goodbye as innocent as our souls A gentle reminder of vulnerability and hope for what may come, for what may be Rain fell from the sky like an angel’s blessing streaming our faces in the day’s dusk I wished to dance my way home on the raindrops, lingering in her kiss

The reader can easily see this poem was written by a very romantic man. There are men of passion and men of romance. I think you have found a wonderful balance and my own heart was pumping "faster, faster, faster" as I read of this intriguing encounter. Excellent work, Ra! Love, Carolyn
