First Date

Polished shoes. Check. Bathed. Check. Brushed hair one hundred strokes. Check. Used deodorant. Check. Re-did lipstick five times. Check. Re-did eye make up twice. Check. Changed clothes. Check. Looked in the mirror. Check. Twirled in the mirror. Check. Changed clothes. Check. Looked in the mirror. Check. Twirled in the mirror. Check. Took off this outfit and put on the first outfit. Check. Honey, your date's here! Just a second, Mom. Change clothes two more times. Check. Put the first outfit on again. Check. Close closet door so you cannot see the mirror. Check. Go downstairs and rescue your date from the hot seat. Check.

I had three daughters, and I have 6 granddaughters, so I sort of "remember" when I see their rooms.

It is weird how many clothes end up on the floor, on the bed, and then we go back to the first thing we had on.

Great! Now usually the outfit that first draws you in, is the right one! I laugh when my husband says: So what tie do you like better. I figured out I didn’t like any of them when he finally bought a great one!

It is weird to me how many clothes I have that have NEVER been worn, passed over for some of my favorites which I have had for 10 to 25 years!
