First Christmas

Baking cookies,
decorating the tree,
wrapping up the gifts.
Staying busy to keep mind off the fact there's one less gift this year.
Being the first Christmas without you.
Your presence is all I wish for this Christmas.
What hurts the most, that's one wish that can never be received.
