First and Last

I recall now how we laughed together, for no reason at all. We were the start of what we are now. and all that was then is now over. I wish I could somehow bring it back. But I can’t. Not after what I said. “Our first kiss will always be our last,” I sit here and think. Of what we could be if we were still together. With our sweet innocence. I miss that. I miss you. But I no longer love you as I did. With our first... and last kiss. I could sit here and cry. I could complain, but I need to move on... I can say I need you. But I moved on. To my past.
