Fireworks Celebrations

Fireworks Celebrations

Gathered ‘neath the cover of the fading light
Resting on blankets – summer celebration
Eyes from many lands look up for fire bloom sights
Remembering the birth pains of a nation.

Resting on blankets – summer celebration
Red rockets blast scintillas exploding joy -
Remembering the birth pains of a nation
Spacious skies embrace delight - glee to employ.

Red rockets blast scintillas of exploding joy
Eyes from many lands look up for fire bloom sights
Spacious skies embrace delight - glee to employ
Gathered ‘neath the cover of the fading light.

Ani - many thanks for your gracious message. So appreciated! Pantoums are fun if not challenging. A good way to start off the new year. Hope you are well! Sending you the best for the new year.

Agreed! Every year our city sponsors a fireworks display for the 4th of July. It's not the most spectacular of displays but it brings us all together for an evening of ooh's - ah's and community! Hope your new year is as bright as fireworks! Thank you for your message. Over Fork Over!

Thanks so much Jan! So glad you enjoyed this poem even though fireworks are not one of the things you love! Two of our four Wheaten Terriers were not fans of fireworks - spent a lot of time under the bed on the 4th of July! hugs to you!
