Notes About The Poem

Fireworks

Summer now is here.
Fireworks will appear.
All the towns put on a show
lighting up the skies,
as with widened eyes,
children watch with hearts aglow.

Grownups too will be
very happily
enjoying their kids' delight.
Before summer flees,
we make memories
watching skies ablaze at night!

A poem with a sparkle! I like fireworks, especially the coloured ones. In the summer all Maltese towns and villages celebrate feasts which are renowned for their firework displays. // paul

I enjoyed this Andrea. I love the Alouette form. Sorry this didn't make the winner's list. My Alouette for another contest got an N/A too. :(

That's what I like about fireworks, watching the joy in the children's eyes.

Had a zebra cracker go off in my hand. Didn't light any more fireworks that fourth. Love, daver
