Flames shoot upwards reaching high Cheeks reflect the bonfire's glow Vibrant stars light up the sky Whooshing, whistling firework show. Cheeks reflect the bonfire's glow Sparklers sizzle as they trace Whooshing, whistling firework show Roaring rockets start to race. Another winner, Wendy. I agree with Nina: the "whooshing whistling" repetition of the Pantoum really works for this fireworks theme. Masterful. (Never heard of a Catherine Wheel, though).

Nice to hear from you again, Eric - thanks for the encouragement. They were a staple part of Guy Fawkes'night as a child but nearly always fizzled out prematurely!
