Fires of Life

Figuratively there is good and there is bad
Intuitively we know there are high paths and low
Rewarding goodness; not hatefulness when so sad
Eliminating love, the thief comes to take what you know

And there are consequences for each choice made
Children who wander lives without a mother nor dad
Destitute families who’s last night never laid
Unless a miracle occurs their lives will be bad

So, in the course of suffering and destitution
Come magnificent family courage and strength
And some how a divine illumination
Causes a peaceful and caring restitution

And the answers come often at the end of time
But, looking back, They’re no more blind

Fire creates, fires destroy--tis why it has been worshiped as a God in savage and UNENLIGHTENED cultures of the past.. I enjoyed this fine sonnet my friend..A7

Yes.. Tis true, it is worshipped. But, it destroyed my home and worst the lives of 2 pets... It is beautiful and strange, it cleanses all the left over from lives... Thanks you, Robert for stopping by and chatting with me. It's a true pleasure. Please, come again... :-)

Well Bonnie, fires do good as well as bad. Life can be patterned from this you seem to say. Bad "turns" are like a burning flame that chars or defeat because of the choice. Good paths, the flame burns to spur on. Did I get it? Hugs, RP.

Hello RP... Yes, what you have summarized is right. I, being a victim of a house fire which took the lives of my animals, wrote this with their lives lost in my mind... But, all in all, life is good and worth living... Thanks for commenting and very much appreciated... Bonnie
