Firemen

Firemen

Serve
Bravely
Fighting flames
Risking their lives
Facing dangerous infernos of death.

Families fear as firemen save lives
hellholes raging
destroying
blazing
death.

Poetic form: Tetractys

Dedicated to firemen around the world. But particularly to my son-in-law, Steven Collins,
who has risked himself and saved others. I love you for your valor and because of who you
are. Love, Mom2.

Yes, there is always that fire or situation out there that could be disability or death. My husband worked as a fireman for about five years. In the small area where we live, there is not that much danger but one never knows. Nicely done tribute not only to your son-in-law but also to all men who have done that job whether in a paid position or as a volunteer. Sara
