Fireflies

night sky brighten
sadden moods lighten
laughs and smiles all around
bare feet touches cool ground
summer nights hot and fun
what to do with just one
why not have enough for the whole world
tank tops and flip flops cover boys and girls
drive in movies and butter popcorn
time to go as Johnny honks the horn
what would we do without our fireflies
we would just stare at the blank night skies

Like the last two lines a lot. Well, another summer has fled. Hope you and yours have a fine fall! Sincerely yours Matthew Anish
