Fire Inside
This is what I feel
It's not the fact that you left, still haunting
It's the fact that I would still die for you
-
It's this pain yet to settle down
This pain we know as it burns, sears, and chars
Like a torch melting my skin
It drives me insane
I am nothing but human, we can only take so much
Flesh bound to bone with a bigger heart than they know
I can't find a way away from it
It knows me too well
I can run, but I'll only die tired
I can fight, it'll win, no effort
I know nobody claimed it easy
But no one celebrated it haunting
Oh God, please don't let me burn any longer
What did I do to deserve all of this?
I've been a good boy since she left
So chill me and extinguish this fire inside
I'm too weak to do it alone
