Fire Heart

I’ll burn down the steps that lead To me, and never walk On them again. I’d prefer your absence Than the brutal lies You utter. I’ll mouth my will and blaze It too, My emasculate word I’ll bring to ashes And feed it to the wind. I’ll tattoo the fire In my eyes, And in my veins, To light the torch within me. I’ll burn it all, Until the burn will have deceased. © 2009 Stefania Carmen Misaila
