Fire and Rain
A new year
Thoughts from the
past
Are blown away by the winter wind
A "tabula rasa" to be filled in by actions and events
of the days to come
All the hopes we have
Will be something
we fervently pray come true
Even as the stars begin to glow in the night
The memory of this New Age
will continue to reverberate
in our souls
Keep sending out
your poetry, friends
For out there in the darkness
someone is listening to you
Your message offers solace
to unknown citizens
Beyond the realm of the T.V. and radio
There lies an ocean of poetry
Poems take on life
When they are transmitted from soul to soul
Happy New Year!
