Fire and Fury

Will we see fire death and pain, fall from the fingertips of the insane? Will we get tweets of our own destruction from people on permanent malfunction? If you’re searching for the truth you’d better not ask those politicians who hide behind an outlaw's black mask. What we do this day can never be undone and the ropes we let bind us can never be unstrung. Yet we will close our eyes and praise their name because there’s always someone else to blame.

you're poem is spot on, Jerry. Liked 'politicians behind an outlaw's mask.' Unfortunately, thats a reality right now. The last two lines were powerful...we'll close our eyes and ignore finding someone else to blame. That's called denial and projection...doesn't make for positive humanity. Well said, Jerry. Have a pleasant day, Sara

Thanks, Sara. I had promised myself that I'd stay away from controversy for a while. I think I lasted about a day of not writing about politics.

People are too easily led by narcissists who blame others for their shortcomings. Of course, they never think they have faults, but everyone else does. I'd label them 'outlaws,' because it's the integrity of others they try to steal with slander. Your lines are filled with good points, Jerry.

Thanks, Lin. And I had promised to behave myself.
