watching a naked flame with its flickering orange hues warms the cockles of the heart reminiscing of scenarios that were never realised— . crickets rub their legs together in a serenade the friction required - relentless like firesticks necessary for survival in the bush a crackling fire within me an unquenchable longing … . a once in a blue moon occurrence my recall of events drifts into the stratosphere— . the blue flame of the candle I once held for you still burns steadily in the zero gravity of reality …
