Fingermael

Only a finger length away
Exogenous earth rains today,
In appellation's of water
I pause to write them in laughter

On windowpanes of gray,
Where the touch of life
Becomes another strife,
A melancholy of caged birds.

fingermael = the length of one finger

I really like this and that last line, a melancholy of caged birds, it's just perfect.

Open the cage door and let the bird fly free and glorious. Be well my Dear...
