Fine, Just Fine
You’re fine
That special line you tell yourself
Each and everyday
Everything is great you say
When reality tries to take you away
You put on a show
For all those around
You don’t let anyone know
That the only real lie you tell
Is I’m fine
Those thoughts you confine
Grow grow and grow
And you try but there is nothing
you can do about it
Eventually
They’ll consume you
Bit by bit
While you sit alone
Crying yourself to sleep
Hoping you’ll never wake up
And when you’re gone
Everyone will see
That when you said I’m fine
You really meant “help me”
