Finding You

One hundred and one Lifetimes seem a pittance To seek and find True enlightenment... Here I am once more In a mortal garment Adorned with an impulse An echo of Your Call... Still, I search Not finding You Because I look for You In all the wrong places... A deep longing in My heart awakens Intensity and purpose To seek Your Face... All outside is cold And darkness surrounds me With the touch of Empty desolation... Each hint I pry open Reveals a piece of the Mosaic interwoven with A glimpse of forgetfulness... Still, I search and search Like a blind man Grasping at the touch Of emptiness... And time and space Go on swirling In the places I trod Distracted and distracting... So many wrong turns And cul-de-sacs To reconcile what's fake And notice the authentic... Time slips away And space seduces My good intentions With vain and misty forms... Only finding You In dreams of immortality As I abruptly exit this Mortal coil once more... Glimpses of nirvana Can be alluring But where do I go Even as I am but a seed... Finding You only as I fall Into a deeper sleep Unhindered by The shutters of a mortal shell... If this is the way To find the inner path Can the Kingdom of Heaven be found? I retreat from the World outside only To reach within for A brief moment of inner peace... Beyond all restless Strife to find meaning In a deeper peace In certain stillness... Here You await in silence In all-abiding profoundness Beyond my little self To set me free... Thus my longing Helps in my finding You And my journey ends With ecstasy unending... For I have finally Come home to You My one true Love: The First-Cause of my cause... Only to rest for A while and then return To my journey Wandering seeking... For Love gathers love In the glimpses of Immortality in realms Where light scatters darkness... Vivid stillness dances As Love lives life For life is the dance of Love Ad infinitum...
