Finding the Magic

We met on a night, When the indigo leaves, Covered the pavements, And rain sprinkled over our heads. You tasted of apple and cinnamon, Of something new, As we sipped whisky, And looked into each other’s eyes. More than ready for this roller coaster, To rejoice in the magic, Of this beginning, The beginning of happiness. The little words you said, A treasure of meaning, For me to hold on, To restore me to my old self.
