Finding the Invisible

finding the invisible

every one is a galaxy
look into their eyes
through the fog of fear
and confusion with unknown
things like meeting

there is disbelief
in an outstretched hand
pain in the touch of greeting

gently persistent proffer
kindness, in a celestial glow
hear, “How did you find me?”
“How did you know,
I was here.”

everyone is a galaxy.... that's a great metaphor. My favorite lines in this beautiful poem are "there is disbelief // in an outstretched hand // pain in the touch of greeting"

Yes I think we all suspect gentleness and kindness as a ruse to get something from us. That is why, I think, all of this hugging and air kissing. We don't have to look into the eyes. Oh well long story. Thank you for commenting in such a lovely way.

The ending is absolutely beautiful. The feeling of driting around in nothingness and to find a human that knows is ... exquisite. Well done Patricia

Jannie we are all invisible until discovered. It is our protection. You discovered me and I you and if should ever meet we would see each other, know our hearts as humans. Thank you.

Oh, I really enjoyed this write, such an intellectual, thought provoking poem, one that I loved reading this evening! You have delivered an awe inspiring piece of pleasant poetry, I just love digging into a remarkable poem such as yours! Just so you know, you are missing an "i" in "finding" in your title! Great Work!!

I am missing an eye in my head too. I am blind in my left eye and getting used to its limitations has been trying. So I thank you for looking out for me.
