Finding Radiance

I stole away in the vast moonlight
To the whispers of the darkened night
The glow was so beguiling it took my breath away
Comforted by its loveliness it beckoned me to stay

I felt such happiness in that hour - so blessed
Of joy and hope and bliss, my heart accepted rest
I stood proud and tall in the calm, peaceful light
My soul, my spirit free- I soared in lovely flight

I came back home to lay my weary head
In my darkened room I laid upon my bed
Just outside my window...
I saw the moon smiling in the sky
It took me a moment to realize...
Just how good it felt to fly
