Finding Peace, Or the Obituary
Some find peace
on a summer's day,
in whispering leaves
as branches sway.
Some find peace
in lover's arms,
feeling they are
safe from harm.
Some find peace
in children's song,
whose youth does not
yet know of wrong.
Some find peace
in their own silence,
feeling there's no
need for violence.
My days are done,
I've no more pain,
and I find peace
in the rain.
