Finding Peace

Friends and neighbors
far away and near
wealthy and blue collar
put away the doubt and fear.

I call out in the distance
The screams a scared vow
that love transcends all things
when people will allow.

There doesn't have to be the silence
when every voice is heard
and you can feel the violence
when humanity is disturbed.

The world doesn't have to be perfect
we can still find some peace
the world does not disserve it
not this way at least.
