Finding Myself

Times are getting hard,
Things are going wrong.
Why is it always me
That has to push to be strong?
No one really knows
What I’m feeling right now.
My world is crashing down.
I need to get back somehow.
My tears keep building up
And soon they’ll all fall down
I guess there’s nothing left to do
But give up and drown.
People try to act
Like they know what’s going on,
But in reality
All of them are truly wrong.
I thought of giving up,
But then I came to see
That with Jesus there, right by my side,
Life is the best it can be.
He helped me get through,
The worst of all times.
Without Him, I’m sure,
I’d be more than blind.
I found Him that night
A bible on my bed,
I’m not sure where it came from,
But I sat down and read.
Ever since then,
A long time ago,
I’ve found myself, fixed my life,
And learned how to let go.
