Finding My Way
In the twilight I see,
All the things that can be.
Sometimes the light shines so bright,
I lose my way and my courage to fight.
Then the dawn reappears,
I know I must let go of my fears.
I look around for salvation,
While my heart beats in fast palpitation.
No one can truly understand,
How my heart works on demand.
I can only live day by day,
Slowly finding my path and way.
Packing my bags for this long road,
Putting myself into overload.
I choose to believe I will survive,
Tonight I am grateful to be alive.
My mind and heart need to conquer and divide,
It is no longer an option to hide.
It's like the storm before the calm,
Please put your hand against my palm.
I know my soul is strong,
And one day I will find where I belong.
