Finding Love

Why is it hard to find love
When all I want is a woman to love me
To love me for who I am
I want a woman that I can talk to
Laugh with, cry with, share my secrets
To make love at the end of the day
To be held in her arms
Feeling safe, content, loved
But everytime I think I've found her
I end up hurt, used, taken advantage of
I try not to wear my heart on my sleeve
It is hard, for I am too nice
I trust too easily, hoping that if I'm honest
Then in turn they will be honest with me
I'm a wonderful listener
I love to have fun
And when I'm with someone
I treat her as she should be treated
I look at myself and wonder
Why is it so hard to find love
