FINDING HOME

Living in perfect peace
Dropped into the lab of earth
We felt at home in darkness
Until the light of our birth

Our eyes were dim and off
We did not know this muted place
Screams from deep within
Until we recognized Mama's face

She took us to her breast
And loved us from her sucking wound
The line of descent displayed
In every abuse and every boon

Hope carried us in all directions
With grief and sorrow taking the lead
Outcasts, misfits, rejected and alone
Among fear, jealousy, and enormous greed

Here we are, at the threshold of tomorrow
With the new world opening her gates
Enemies surround, trying to prevent entrance
Yet here we are, holding fast, LOVE, against all hate

You will know us by the community
That runs the blood of our hearts
We have no separation within operation
As LOVE, WISDOM, WORD, and TRUTH has unified our parts

....different, but ONE
